Question 1

Do you accept liability if data is lost because of your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Before any change to production systems, we create a full backup and test that it can be restored. In cases of proven fault, we are liable under German contract-for-work law (§§ 634 et seq. BGB). We carry professional liability insurance.

Question 2

Do you sign a data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR?

Accepted Answer

Yes — for every engagement in which we gain access to personal data. The data processing agreement (DPA) covers purpose, duration, TOMs and subprocessors (none!). On request, you'll receive a sample DPA before placing the order.

Question 3

What is the notice period for ending a maintenance contract?

Accepted Answer

Cancel monthly: no minimum term, no fine print. Cancel by the 15th to end at the close of the month. We work with clients who want to stay, not with clients who can't leave.

Question 4

What happens if you, as a single person, are sick or unavailable?

Accepted Answer

Complete documentation is always in your hands, all credentials stay with you, and there's no proprietary tooling only we understand. Another IT provider can take over immediately. For truly critical systems, we also recommend an in-house admin who knows the basics.

Question 5

What do we get when the project is finished?

Accepted Answer

Written acceptance report, network diagram, all credentials in encrypted form, backup documentation with restore instructions, monitoring setup, vendor documentation, and a 2-hour walkthrough on request. That's standard, not an extra.

Question 6

How quickly do you respond in an emergency?

Accepted Answer

Maintenance contract customers reach Mahmoud Shalaleh directly: no ticket system, no call center. In an emergency, he responds immediately. Remote access via SSH or iDRAC/iLO is preconfigured for all managed servers.

Question 7

What is the Röntgen IT Security Audit?

Accepted Answer

Röntgen is our free self-check: a questionnaire of about 10 minutes covering 68 criteria across 12 areas (BSI IT-Grundschutz, GDPR Art. 32, TISAX) → automated evaluation → PDF report with prioritized measures → IT ID card with a QR code for authenticity verification. The result is based on your answers. You can also book a personal review by video call (€490) or on-site (from €1,490).

Question 8

How does a quote request work?

Accepted Answer

30-minute initial call → written fixed-price quote within 2 business days. The quote covers: specific technologies, timeline, scope of work, fixed price. Alternatively: get an instant, non-binding cost estimate with the calculator at /kalkulator (for guidance only, not a quote).
